On Sunday 21 May 2017, Connor Fitzpatrick took part in the PARA 10 race in Colchester to raise money for a foundation called CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
CRY Foundation specialise in helping people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers support to families affected by young sudden cardiac death. It also helps to promote and develop heart screening programmes and funds medical research. This is a charity that Connor and his family have personal links to. The PARA 10 is a 10 mile race in which you have to overcome swamps, hills and other difficult terrain in under three hours. Connor completed the course alongside his dad and managed to finish in 1 hour and 29 minutes. He was also only two minutes behind the fastest teenager.
We are very proud of Connor for completing this race.
