Year 12 Braintree Sixth Form students took part in the Essex Roadster event today and all involved seemed to find the day constructive.
The event is designed to provide BSF students with road safety awareness and also to give our students a chance to drive a car (many for the first time). Presentations were delivered by Essex police, Essex Fire Service, Halfords and BDA Driving School who also facilitated the driving experience that our students received. Feedback from the students shows that this was a successful event with many of the students learning road awareness concepts which they previously did not know. Braintree Sixth Form would like to thank all of the providers for their contribution towards the day and also to our Year 12 students for their commitment to the day. They applied themselves fully and as a consequence, they gained considerable knowledge and acquired a degree of driving knowhow.
